Valuation Surveyor - Manchester / Full time

This is a key appointment to the National Valuation Team with exposure to a wide range of property types across the UK. The role demands a significant focus on the UK logistics and south east office sectors, providing valuation advice for secured lending purposes, acquisition due diligence support, and quarterly valuations on behalf of REITS and property companies.

The position gives opportunity for variety in terms of the asset classes and geographies but also the flexibility to specialise if desired. The role also offers client exposure and significant responsibility, together with excellent career prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- In addition to the above, provision of valuation advice relating to a full range of commercial investment and development properties across Manchester and the North West, and assisting with the valuation of multi-sector, UK wide portfolios, involving regular collaboration with regional valuation teams.
- Providing advice on behalf of lenders, and investors of Investment valuations and development appraisals for a mixture of accounting, loan security, general advisory and acquisition purposes.
- Client liaison and assisting with the development of new and existing client relationships.
- To integrate with the wider CBRE network and other business lines such as Capital Markets and Agency teams.
- To support an expanding team in its business development objectives and continued revenue growth.
Person Specification
- MRICS or equivalent.
- The successful candidate will be part of a market leading team with a focus on specialising in the valuation of distribution assets and offices for occupiers, investors and lenders.
- Logical thought process and ability to analyse data effectively.
- Self-motivated and proactive, enjoying working with demanding clients. Has the ability to be creative and proactive in identifying, sourcing and pursuing new leads and opportunities.
- Maintains a positive attitude towards routine tasks.
- Understands the importance of using discretion.
- Team player who deals effectively with colleagues and clients and enjoys working as part of a team, but is also able to operate autonomously in an efficient and productive manner.
Skill Requirements
- Good IT skills in particular Word and Excel, as well as a detailed knowledge of Argus Investor and Developer Software.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Accurate and with exceptional attention to detail, especially when writing valuation reports and reviewing due diligence.
- Excellent communication skills enabling the development of good relationships with both clients and colleagues.
- Organisation and personal time management skills are required with the ability to meet strict deadlines and work in a fast paced environment.
